About

As a young actress auditioning for stage roles, I answered all the appropriate casting calls—with varied results. One day there was a call for six-foot blondes for a leading role! I knew this role was for me. I was a shoe in. How many six-foot blondes had I seen in New York? Now many! I truly thought I would be the only one auditioning. To my surprise, when I opened the studio door, there was a room filled with six-foot blondes. My height was not enough to make me stand out. I was stunned. “What makes me different from the other tall talented people in the room?” I wondered. That’s when the light came on. ME! I am what makes me different. And the same is true for my clients.

Today I am an Executive Communication and Voice Coach, and I show people how to STAND HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE THE COMPETITION by finding their authentic, individual voice. I unlock and harness the potential that lays hidden or dormant by encouraging them how to utilize their strengths and give voice to their unique perspectives.

It’s that straight forward.

My method of coaching integrates over twenty-five years of professional theater experience and certified executive coaching to address the fundamental causes of poor communication.

After earning a BFA in acting from the conservatory at Purchase College, I performed in and produced plays in New York City. As a voice coach for actors I was a professor at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Playwrights, Horizons, Circle in the Square, CBS Television, Purchase College. It is great fun to still see so many of my former students in countless TV, film, and theater productions.

Some of my actors transitioned into the business world.

They found that the lessons they’d learned from me—to speak directly and honestly, listen strategically, and follow their instincts—allowed them to quickly succeed within their new fields and organizations. Eventually, many sought my guidance again. They asked me to train their respective employees to improve their leadership presence through better communication, and those clients became stars in their own organizations, cast in new roles as CEO’s, Senior VP’s, Sales President, auctioneer, or media expert.

I now direct senior leaders in a variety of professional roles, whether it’s media interviews, client pitches, panel presentations, keynotes, board presentations, departmental meetings, phone conversations, business dinners, networking teleconferences, or webinars. It’s their job to get results, and it’s my job to establish the skills so that they always interact in ways that are true to their brand and their unique perspectives.

It is rewarding to discover the diverse application of these vital performance skills. I have successfully coached fine art auctioneers, lawyers, doctors, CEOs, investment analysts, authors, CPA’s, curators, sales execs, hospital senior leaders, writers, and architects.

I lead by example. Sessions with me are straightforward, smart, engaging, practical, efficient, results driven, and fun. Because that is what matters to my clients.

Whether I am addressing a large audience, coaching large groups, small groups, or one to one I love partnering with my clients to unlock and express their unique ideas and insights, while providing a solid support system for their growth and success. It is a joy to see my clients emerge from the process with a facility for personal, straightforward talk that exudes confidence and charisma.

My other sources for joy in life come from my growing family, kayaking, travel, cooking, reading and volunteering for organizations dedicated to helping others.
